2018 ICC U-19 World Cup Final, Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga

India defeated Australia by eight wickets in the final of the 2018 Under-19 World Cup, courtesy a match-winning hundred Manjot Kalra at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga.

Indian batsmen led by Kalra chased down the 217 runs target with 67 balls to spare. Australia won the toss and chose to bat first and was bowled out for a low score of 216.

Ishan Porel, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi and Anukul Roy picked up two wickets each, whereas, Jonathan Merlo was the top scorer with 76 runs for the Aussies.

Kalra was instrumental at the top of the order and guided his team over the line to win the match. Wicket-keeper Harvik Desai also played a handy knock and scored 47 runs.

Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, 1st Test, Chittagong

Sri Lanka took a 200-run lead in the first innings, as they declared on 713/9 on day four of the first Test in Chittagong. Dhananjaya De Silva, Kusal Mendis and Roshen Silva scored centuries for the tourists. Roshen was dismissed on 109 while Captain Dinesh Chandimal was dismissed short of a hundred on 87 runs.

Taijul Islam took four wickets, and Mehdy Hasan picked up three wickets. Bangladesh was 81/3 at stumps.

Australia vs New Zealand, 1st T20I, Sydney Cricket Ground

Australia restricted New Zealand to a low score of 117/9 in 20 overs, as Andrew Tye took four wickets while Billy Stanlake picked up three wickets.

Australia won the toss and chose to field first, D’Arcy Short and Alex Carey made their T20 international debut in the game. Colin De Grandhomme was the top scorer for the Kiwis, as he scored 38 runs. The second innings of the match was delayed due to rain.
