Fifth Ashes Test, Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney

Australia took a 133-run lead on day three of the fifth Test at the SCG in Sydney courtesy a century by Usman Khawaja and an unbeaten 98 by Shaun Marsh.
Australian skipper Steven Smith fell short of another Test century and gave an easy catch to the bowler Moeen Ali. Khawaja brought up his fifth Test ton and scored a brilliant 171 before becoming debutant Mason Crane’s maiden Test wicket.
The Marsh brothers then united at the crease and remained unbeaten till stumps leading Australia to 479/4 on day three. England bowlers had a disappointing and hard day, as only two Australian wickets fell in the day.
South Africa vs India, First Test, Newlands, Cape Town

India was put on the back foot, as the South African fast bowlers struck late on day one and removed Indian openers and skipper Virat Kohli before stumps.
The hosts were bowled out for 286 after tea with Bhuvneshwar Kumar picking up four wickets. AB De Villiers was the top scorer for South Africa with 65 runs. Murali Vijay and Shikhar looked solid early on but were removed soon after by Vernon Philander and Dale Steyn. Indian skipper Virat Kohli also edged one past on five off Morne Morkel’s delivery. Kagiso Rabada also bagged one wicket on day two by trapping Rohit Sharma in front for 11.

Manchester United vs Derby County
Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku rescued Manchester United with two second-half strikes against Derby County. Lingard extended his goals tally to 11 in the season while Lukaku scored his 16th goal in Manchester United’s colours.
Liverpool vs Everton
Virgil Van Dijk scored the winner and his maiden goal for his new club Liverpool in the 84th minute in the Merseyside derby. Liverpool took the lead through James Milner, but Gylfi Sigurdsson scored for the tourists to equalise in the 67th minute.
Hopman Cup
Switzerland vs Germany- Final
Roger Federer came back from being one set down and defeated Alexander Zverer in the men’s singles match of the final of the Hopman Cup. Federer won by 6-7, 6-0, 6-2
Maharashtra Open
Gilles Simon vs Marin Cilic
Gilles Simon reached the final of the Maharashtra Open, as he defeated the number one seed Cilic 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Kevin Anderson vs Benoit Paire
Second seed Kevin Anderson will face Gilles Simon in the final, as he defeated fourth seed Benoit Paire 6-7(8), 7-6(2), 6-1.
