Ronda Rousey has stirred up the WWE fans’ sentiment with her recent harsh comments. She has not only blasted the most loyal fans of the world addressing them as ungrateful but also took shots at the scripted matches that WWE conducts. She called WWE “fake fighting for fun” and then tweeted the following after facing backlash from wrestling fans,
“Anyone who is outraged by me calling pro wrestling ‘fake fights for fun’ has never been in a REAL fight. While you all are tiptoeing around bruising some pro wrestlers’ huge soft egos — no one is thinking about all the REAL fighters you’re insulting when pretending pro wrestling is somehow on the same level of realism.
Yes, I understand, wrestling 300 days a year for years on end is incredibly tough on the body and a difficult profession — but do you know what would happen if you got in 300 REAL fights a year? You would be dead,” Ronda Rousey wrote.

Ronda Rousey Hints About Returning To WWE; Becky Lynch Takes Shots At Her
UFC Hall of Famer & former RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has been portraying a true heel persona since 2019. During the end of her WWE stint, she turned into a villainous persona since the fans were booing her. This caused organic bad blood between the two parties which is still intact. These comments were treated to be something like that to insinuate the fans.

Meanwhile, a WWE Hall of Famer came in rescue for the comments made by Ronda Rousey. During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, former world champion Mark Henry agreed with what Rousey said. As per him, WWE Universe should respect the mainstream stars like Ronda Rousey or Rob Gronkowski who are here, after performing in real sports.

So they may not be familiar with the scripted format of this pro-wrestling sport. But that does not downplay the athleticism that the pro-wrestlers brought after every time stepping into the ring. In the meantime, names like Ronda remain bigger star power on TV to garner more ratings and viewerships which is a fact that can’t be denied.
“She’s 100% right. And like I said that we should appreciate the essential workers? We should appreciate people like Ronda Rousey and Rob Gronkowski. All of the people that have come to WrestleMania that were not wrestlers.
Yes, you’re judged by different grade, but every now and then you get one or two or three people like Ronda Rousey and a Kurt Angle who come into the sport; and they’re so damn good, that what would it look like if they had been in forever?
What if in 1996 when I came into pro wrestling Kurt Angle came in? It would have been so good. But that’s not our reality.
Ronda Rousey? She did movies, she fought professionally for years since she was a teenager. She trained, and even before then she trained. Man…10 years old in judo! Like she spent her whole life in other entertainment all together.
And then she comes in to ours, and she’s in for maybe a year or two at the highest level? Then she drew better than everybody.” (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)
The last time Ronda Rousey was seen in a WWE ring was at WrestleMania 35 main event triple threat match where she lost the RAW Women’s Title to Becky Lynch.
Since then, there has been a ton of speculations regarding her comeback to the WWE but nothing happened. It’ll be interesting to see if Ronda Rousey is heating up the fans against herself with these comments before finally resurfacing on TV.
