Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin have reach agreement with Spanish giants Barcelona over a summer move, according to reports in Spain.
Barca have made the Spanish full back their primary target for the upcoming season and RAC1 claims that the player have agreed terms over a move to his parent club.
The report further suggests that Bellerin will now speak to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger as talks with Barcelona officials could begin in the next 10 days. However, the transfer fee looks to be a major stumbling block in the Spaniard’s deal as Arsenal are in a strong position to resist small bids and could rake up huge money to let him leave.
The Gunners tied down Bellerin to a long term deal back in November which will see him stay at the club till 2023 and the North Londoners will only let him go in a big money deal as Arsene Wenger is set to spend big on other signings this summer.
Bellerin is currently earning £100,000-a-week in his new deal and Barca are keen to play a similar tactics to get the Spaniard back just the way they signed back Cesc Fabregas from the Gunners earlier.
The 22-year old has not ruled out the possibility of moving back to Barcelona on Tuesday and was happy to learn their interest.
‘I was lucky enough to take a chance on Arsenal. Things have gone well and now hearing this type of news about Barca is something which makes me happy, but it doesn’t depend on me,’ the Spaniard told Mundo Deportivo.
‘It’s nice to know of interest from a club like Barca, the club where I grew up from a young age.
‘For the moment I don’t know anything, I’m an Arsenal player and we will see what happens.’
Bellerin has left Barcelona at the age of just 16 to move to Arsenal and is grateful to Wenger for the opportunities the Frenchman provided. He has developed into one of the best fullbacks in Premier League and is rated highly by Barcelona.
The right back position is the most concerning area for Barca going into the new season as they failed to replace Dani Alves who left the club last summer. Bellerin is believed to be an ideal fit for the club as he came from La Masia and would be easily integrated into club’s philosophy .
