The Women’s Ashes Test match ended in a draw as the England batters replied strongly in the second innings losing only two wickets for 206. Ellyse Perry was adjudged the man of the match for her brilliant 213 not out which is also the highest score by an Australian batswoman. England’s skipper Heather Knight scored 79 off 220 balls in the second innings, her second fifty of the match. Australia now leads the Ashes 6-4 which means that England now have to win all the three T20 matches to regain the Urn.

Under-19 Asia Cup

India Vs Nepal

Nepal shocked the tournament favourites Indian team in group stage match as they won the match by 19 runs. The Indian batsmen failed to achieve a modest target of 186 and were bowled out for a mere 166 in 48.1 overs. Indian captain Himanshu Rana continued his good form and scored 46 runs while opening the innings and was also the top scorer for the team. Nepal’s captain Dipendra Singh took four wickets in his ten overs.

Pakistan Vs UAE

Pakistan got back to winning ways as they defeated UAE by 226 runs. Pakistan scored 299 runs batting first and bowled out UAE for just 73 runs. Mohammad Taha was the top scorer for the winning team with 94 runs.

Brazilian Grand Prix

Valtteri Bottas defeated Sebastian Vettel to start the Brazilian Grand Prix from pole position. Bottas edged past Vettel by just 0.038 seconds in a thrilling qualifying race. Newly crowned champion Lewis Hamilton failed to qualify as he crashed out at the start of Q1.

Spain Vs Costa Rica

Spain cruised past Costa Rica 5-0 in an international friendly courtesy an opener by Jordi Alba in the 6th minute. Alvaro Morata then doubled the score in the 23rd minute. David Silva scored twice in the second half. Andreas Iniesta then scored the last goal in the 73rd minute.

Russia Vs Argentina

Sergio Aguero’s late strike in the 86th minute helped the Argentine’s get past Russia. The Russian goalkeeper had a huge task tackling the likes of Manchester City striker Aguero, Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria. The Russian keeper did well till the 85th minute but failed to hold on to a clean sheet.
