Pakistan took a two-nil lead in a five match ODI series as they won the second match by 32 runs despite an unbeaten century by Upal Tharanga. In the first innings, Babar Azam scored his second consecutive century in ODI’ and fifth consecutive century in the UAE. Pakistan scored 219/9 in the first innings. Sri Lanka could only manage187 in their innings. Shadab Khan ripped through the Sri Lankan middle order as he picked up three wickets. He was also adjudged the man of the match.
Board President’s XI Vs New Zealand, Warm up Match, Mumbai
New Zealand won the toss and chose to field first in the first warm up match in Mumbai. However, this decision did not pan out well as BPXI scored 295/9 in the first innings as Indian top three scored half centuries. Prithvi Shaw and KL Rahul gave the BPXI a solid start with an opening partnership of 147. Karun Nair top scored with 78.
Zimbabwe Announce Squad for West Indies Series
Brendan Taylor returned to the Zimbabwean squad along with Kyle Jarvis after their county stints. Zimbabwe made seven changes to their squad which last played a Test against Sri Lanka. Players who miss out on a spot in the squad are, Ryan Burl, Tendai Chatara, Tarisai Musakanda, Carl Mumba, Natsai Mushangwe, Nathan Waller and Donald Tiripano. Of these, Chatara is the only one missing out due to injury.

Wayne Parnell has been ruled out of the ODI squad due to a groin injury and been replaced by all rounder Wiaan Mulder. South Africa board also announced the T20 squads with Robbie Frylinck earning a maiden T20 international call up.

Germany continued their lethal form in the under-17 World Cup as they defeated one of the better playing teams in the tournament 4-0. Jann-Fiete Arp scored a brace for the Germans.

The USA dominated the Paraguay as they won 5-0 courtesy a hat-trick by Timothy Weah and they booked a spot in the last eight round of the tournament.

Real Madrid will host the Spurs in the Champions League, with both the teams having won both their previous matches. Harry Kane has five goals from Tottenham’s opening two group games against Borussia Dortmund and Apoel Nicosia.

Manchester City will like to continue their lethal form in the champion’s league when they face Napoli in the next group stage match. City has won both the previous matches and is at leading their pool.
Maribor Vs Liverpool
Liverpool would like to get back to winning ways in the European championship having drawn both their previous matches. Liverpool will travel to Slovenia to face Maribor in the third match.
