Pakistan Vs Sri Lanka 2017, 1st T20I, Abu Dhabi

Pakistan had a stroll in the park against Sri Lanka in the first T20 as they dismissed the Lankans for 102 and then chased the target in 17.2 overs losing just three wickets. Usman Khan was adjudged the man of the match for picking up two wickets and giving away just 20 runs in his four overs. Hasan Ali decimated the Lankan lower order picking up three wickets. While chasing Shoaib Malik was the top scorer for Pakistan as he scored an unbeaten 42 off 31 deliveries. The second T20 will be played on Friday before both the teams travel to Lahore for the final T20.

South Africa Vs Bangladesh 2017, 1st T20, Bloemfontein

Bangladesh faced another humiliating loss on their tour of the rainbow nation as they lost the first T20 by 20 runs against South Africa at Bloemfontein. South Africa batted first and scored 195/4 in their 20 overs courtesy their opener Quinton De Kock and AB De Villiers. De Kock scored 59 off 44 balls and De Villiers fell one short of a well deserved half century. Bangladesh could only manage 175/9 in 20 overs. Soumya Sarkar was the top scorer at 47 for the Bangladeshi’s.

ITALIAN SERIE A

Juventus Vs SPAL

Juventus defeated SPAL 4-1 courtesy a goal each from Bernardeschi, Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Cuadrado. Juventus moved to 25 points and at number three spot in the table.

Roma Vs Crotone

A first half goal saw Roma through till the end as they defeated Crotone 1-0. Roma moved to fifth in the Italian table courtesy a penalty in the ninth minute of the match which Perotti converted with ease.

Chievo Vs AC Milan

AC Milan came back to winning ways as the defeated Chievo convincingly by 4-1. However Milan was helped by a new goal from Cesar. Milan is at number eight in the Serie A standings.

BADMINTON

Kidambi Srikanth Vs Wong Wing Ki Vincent

Kidambi Srikanth moved to the quarterfinals of the French Open super series as he defeated his opponent from Hong Kong Wong Wing Ki Vincent 21-19, 21-17.

PV Sindhu Vs Sayaka Takahashi

PV Sindhu cruised to the quarterfinal stage as she defeated Japan’s Sayaka Takahashi 21-14,21-13. She will face China’s Chen Yufei who defeated her in the first round of Denmark Open.

Saina Nehwal Vs Akane Yamaguchi

Saina Nehwal failed to get past Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi as she lost her match 9-21,21-23 in clash which last 39 minutes.

WTA Finals- Martina Hingis Announces Retirement

Martina Hingis announced her retirement at a press conference in Singapore on Thursday. Hingis announced that she will walk away from the game after her last match in the tournament. This will be the second she retires from professional tennis. Hingis has won 25 Grand Slam Titles in a career which spanned for 23 years.

World Cup Final

India’s Amanpreet Singh won bronze in 50m pistol event at the ISSF World Cup Final in New Delhi on Friday. He shot a score of 202.2 behind Serbia’s Damir Mikec (229.3) and Ukraine’s Oleh Omelchuk (228).
