India vs New Zealand, First ODI, Mumbai
New Zealand defeated India by six wickets in the first ODI at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, courtesy a brilliant 200-runs partnership between Ross Taylor and Tom Latham.
Virat Kohli scored his 31st ODI century and surpassed Ricky Ponting on the all-time list of most hundreds by a batsman. India won the toss and chose to bat first and made one change in the playing XI, as Dinesh Karthik replaced Manish Pandey.
India posted 280/8 in 50 overs in the first innings. New Zealand chased down the target with one over in hand. Tom Latham was unbeaten at 103, and Ross Taylor got out on 95.
South Africa vs Bangladesh, 3rd ODI, East London
South Africa completed a series whitewash against Bangladesh, as they won the third and final ODI of the series by 200 runs.
South Africa continued to be ruthless and scored 369/6 in the first innings. Aiden Markram made his ODI debut, as Hashim Amla got rested in the final ODI. Faf Du Plessis retired hurt on 91, and ruled out of the T20 series as well.
Shakib Al Hasan top scored for Bangladesh as he scored 63. Du Plessis was adjudged the man of the match, whereas, Quinton De Kock bestowed as the man of the series,
ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE: Week 9
Everton vs Arsenal
Arsenal demolished Everton 5-2 as Mesut Ozil, and Alexis Sanchez got on the scoring sheet. Wayne Rooney opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the match with a screamer. But Arsenal came back in the in the 40th minute through Nacho Monreal. Ozil and Lacazatte gave the gunners one-goal lead, as Everton got reduced to ten men in the 68th minute. Sanchez scored an injury minute goal to finish the game at 5-2
Tottenham vs Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur avoided the Wembley hoodoo against Liverpool, as they won the match 4-1, thanks to a brace by Harry Kane. Spurs opened the scoring in the 4th minute, and Son Heung-Min added another in the 12th minute. Mo. Salah got one back for Liverpool in the 24th minute. Dele Ali and Harry Kane both scored in the second half.
HOCKEY: Asia Cup Final
India vs Malaysia
India lifted their third Asia Cup title, and their first in ten years, as they defeated Malaysia 2-1 in the final on Sunday.
With this win, India gets a direct qualification for the Hockey World Cup next year to be held in India.
BADMINTON: Denmark Open Final
Kidambi Srikanth vs Lee Hyun II
Kidambi Srikanth won his third Super Series title, as he defeated South Korea’s Lee Hyun II 21-10, 21-5 in the final of the Denmark Open. Srikanth won the match in just 25 minutes.
FORMULA 1: US GRAND PRIX

Lewis Hamilton is on the verge of winning his fourth Formula One title, as he won the US Grand Prix and went 66 points clear of the second-placed Sebastian Vettel and only 75 points to grab in the remaining three races.
LIGUE 1
PSG vs Marseille
Neymar’s first Le Classique was mixed with emotions, as he scored his 10th goal in PSG’s colours and received his first red card since his 222 million transfer. Edison Cavani scored a 93rd-minute goal from a free kick to draw and save two points for PSG and finished the match 2-2.
LA LIGA
Real Madrid vs Eibar
Cristiano Ronaldo was missing from the score sheet, as Real Madrid defeated Eibar 3-0 and stayed at the number three in the La Liga table, five points behind table-toppers Barcelona.
FIFA Under-17 World Cup, Spain vs Iran
Spain will face Mali in the Semi-final, as they defeated Iran 3-1 in the quarterfinal stage.
FIFA Under-17 World Cup, Germany vs England
Brazil will England face in the semi-final stage, as they came back from a one-goal deficit against Germany and won the match 2-1.
