Continuing their dream run in the Ranji Trophy, Vidarbha thrashed Delhi by nine wickets in the final to seal their maiden Ranji Trophy title. After taking a massive 252-run lead in the first innings, Vidarbha bowled out Delhi for just 280 runs in the second innings before chasing down the paltry 29-run target to seal the title.

The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Monday, gave the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) pitch a poor rating for last week’s drawn Ashes Test. The pitch has drawn criticism from all quarters after the game ended in a tame draw. Cricket Australia now has two weeks to respond.

Gary Kirsten, Ashish Nehra join Royal Challenger Bangalore as a coaching staff:

Former South Africa opener and Gary Kirsten and former India pacer Ashish Nehra have been added to the Royal Challengers Bangalore coaching staff, the franchise confirmed on Monday. Andy Murray pulls out of Brisbane International:

Former world number one Andy Murray has pulled out of the season-opening Brisbane International owing to a hip injury. The British star suffered a right hip injury in 2017 and had not played on the ATP tour since his quarterfinal loss at Wimbledon. On Tuesday, Murray announced his withdrawal from the tournament and did not say whether he would be able to play the Australian Open.

Goals from Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard eased pressure off Jose Mourinho as Manchester United registered an impressive 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park on Monday.

Liverpool continued their impressive run after Ragnar Klavan’s late goal earned Jurgen Klopp’s men a 2-1 away win over Burnley. Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the second half before Johann Gudmundsson equalised with a late header. However, just when it seemed the game would end in a draw, Klavan scored in injury time.

In other games, Leicester City thrashed Huddersfield 3-0 while Newcastle beat Stoke City 1-0 and Brighton and Bournemouth played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
