Former India cricket captain, MS Dhoni and ace-cueist Pankaj Advani were among several noted personalities who received the Padma awards from President, Ram Nath Kovind on Monday.
Dhoni had led India to World T20I, World Cup, Champions Trophy titles and the number one rankings in Test rankings. On the other hand, Advani is a 19-time World Champions and had won gold in 2006 and 2010 Asian Games.
Ish Sodhi guides New Zealand to miraculous draw and series win:

Ish Sodhi held his nerve, scoring a fighting unbeaten fifty, as New Zealand secured a dramatic draw against England in the second Test and claimed a 1-0 series victory.
England looked well set on their way to win the game after Stuart Broad dismissed Jeet Raval (19) and Kane Williamson for a duck with the first two deliveries of the day. The chances only brightened after Colin de Grandhomme (45) lost his wicket 27 overs remaining, leaving New Zealand reeling on 219 for seven.
However, Sodhi’s unbeaten 56, along with Neil Wagner’s 103-ball stay, was enough to seal a stunning draw for the hosts. Sodhi faced 168 balls during his 197 minutes stay at the crease. The series win is New Zealand’s first victory at home over England since 1983-84.
John Isner upsets Alexander Zverev to win Miami Open:

John Isner’s dream run in Miami Open ended on a fitting note, as he stunned Germany’s Alexander Zverev 6-7 (4/7), 6-4, 6-4 to win the title. The win also ended Isner’s ATP Masters final agony.
The big-serving American had lost his previous three major tour final appearances in 2012, 2013 and 2016 but came back from a set down to beat Zverev in two hours and 29 minutes.
With this win, Isner became the first American player since Andy Roddick in 2010 to lift the Miami title. He will also reclaim a career-high world ranking of ninth after the victory.
Real Madrid takes on Juventus in a mouth-watering clash of the UEFA Champions League:

Reigning European champions Real Madrid will lock horns against Italian champions Juventus in the first leg of the last-eight tie.
The last time the two teams had met in the competition, the Spanish outfit had blown away the Italians 4-1 in the final to win the title last year.
In another clash of Tuesday night, Sevilla will welcome German champions Bayern Munich.
