The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Sunday, February 19, 2023, announced the India team’s squads for the remaining two Tests against Australia and for the three-match ODI series as well, which will follow the Tests.

The third Test between India and Australia will be played in Indore from March 1 onwards and the fourth Test will be played in Ahmedabad from March 9 onwards.

India recently registered a thumping 6-wicket win in the second Test in Delhi thanks to amazing bowling by Ravindra Jadeja who took 7/42 and ten wickets in the match and was named the Player of the Match.

After India got a 2-0 lead in the four-Test series and retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the BCCI has decided to retain the same India squad which was named for the first two Tests, for the 3rd and fourth Test as well.

This also means that struggling opener KL Rahul will get two more chances to prove his worth if he gets picked in the playing XI after scoring just 20, 17 and 1 in two Test matches.

Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj have given India the edge with the new ball, while KS Bharat has kept well and showed he could bat as well in the second innings of the Delhi Test.
