Australian Fast Bowler Scott Boland feels that he contributed to the team in the 1st Test says and he was happy with how he bowled in Nagpur but is well aware he may lose his spot ahead of a second Test. Mitchell Starc who missed the First Test because of the finger injury he suffered in late December has flown to Delhi ahead of 2nd Test against India.

Boland said that he was enjoying the challenge of bowling in different conditions after playing his first overseas Test.

I felt like I contributed to our game plan and had a pretty good spell in conjunction with Toddy (Murphy) a couple of times, so I’m pretty happy with how they came out,” Boland said.

Boland went on to add that he had made selectors’ job’s little bit difficult with his bowling in Nagpur and said that all the Indian wickets are going to behave pretty similarly to Nagpur Pitch

“I felt like I bowled well, but when you’re bringing in someone like Mitchell Starc, who’s a gun in these conditions and bowled well in Sri Lanka and Pakistan … hopefully I made the selectors’ job a little bit tougher than what it originally was. I assume all the wickets are going to be pretty similar; I’m not sure they’re going to give us any pace through the middle of the wicket,” Boland said.

“Our Job Going Forward Is To Hopefully Put In Some Partnerships,” – Scott Boland Wants Lower Order Batting To Come Good

India had terrific lower-order partnerships which helped India to post a score of 400 runs in 1st innings. Indian lower-order batsman Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Mohammad Shami have provided a valuable contribution with the bat, on the other hand, Australian lower failed miserably, Boland wants their bowlers to contribute with the bat and to bat a little longer.

“I think all the bowlers, we love batting and as a bowler, when you’re bowling to the lower order and can’t get them out, it gets frustrating,” he said.

“Our job going forward is to hopefully put in some partnerships with the batters if there is a batter still in and try to keep them in for a bit longer.” He further added
