“We will miss Rishabh Pant but we have guys to fill into the role. We have had a good talk with the batters about their plans and hopefully, we will execute it from tomorrow onwards,” said Rohit Sharma.
Rishabh Pant has been an important part of the team for the last couple of years and has played a major role in India’s test wins . There have been talks going on that Ishan Kishan may replace southpaw who has a similar playing style to him but the management is likely to go with Srikar Bharat who has been the back option for Pant in the red ball setup.

It Is Going To Be A Challenging Series – Rohit Sharma Ahead Of Border Gavaskar Trophy

Rohit Sharma faces the biggest Challenge as a Red ball captain when their take on Australia in four-match series starts tomorrow.

“We have four solid test matches to play in the BGT and we would want to win the series. It is going to be a challenging series and we have to be up for it. Preparation is the key. If you prepare well, you get results.”

On Selection headache, Rohit Sharma says it is tough but they will take on brave calls on tomorrow

“It is tough. The guys are in good form, pushing for a spot and doing really well, and it is tough to leave some out. We will take brave calls,” Rohit said in a press conference on Wednesday.

“But it is a good sign overall that all the guys are performing well and in with a chance for selection. But we will see the conditions and pick teams accordingly. Different pitches would need different skill sets. The message is clear, we would take horses for courses and all options are open.”
