India beat Japan in the fourth Test by 4-0 at the Kalinga Stadium at Bhuvneshwar on Saturday, 9th May 2015. It was a dominating performance by team India who played some aggressive hockey in the match and never let Japan to comeback in the match. It was watched by full capacity crowd at the stadium.
In the first quarter both the teams played some attacking hockey. The Indians got first penalty corner but did not convert chance into goals. At the end of first quarter it was 0-0.
In the second quarter India attacked more. India earned their 2nd penalty corner and Ragunath converted the penalty corner into goal to give India 1-0 lead. The next minute Akashdeep scored the second goal to give India a 2-0 lead. The Japanese tried but were not able to convert chances into goals. At the end of 2nd quarter it was 2-0 in favor of India.
The third quarter began off to great start for India. On the 5.32 minutes Dharamvir scored a field goal from the assist of Sunil and Ramandeep to help India get a commanding lead of 3-0. In the 9th minute Japan striker hit a reverse flick but was well saved by P Sreejesh. In the 11th minute India missed a chance of scoring a goal. In the next minute India missed another chance of scoring a goal. At the end of third quarter it was 3-0 in favor of India.
In the fourth quarter Japan earned the first penalty corner on the 3.56 minutes but penalty corner went wide off the goal keeper. In the 5th minute Japan missed a chance of scoring a goal. In the 7th minute Japan striker hit a shot but was well saved by the goalkeeper and then by the defender. The next minute India counterattacked and Akashdeep scored an easy goal to give India a 4-0 lead. In the 12th minute Japan missed another chance of scoring a goal. At the end of fourth quarter it was 4-0.
With India winning this match, they won the series 3-0 as the first one was a draw and in the rest three India registered wins.
