Australia’s former skipper Steven Smith has stated that he has enjoyed his time while playing in the Indian conditions as the crowd gathers in number. It is well known that India is a cricket loving country and the stadiums are generally jam-packed. Thus, it is always a good feeling to play in front of huge crowds.
On the other hand, Steven Smith insisted that both the Big Bash League and Indian Premier League are great leagues. In fact, both the leagues are one of the best cricketing leagues in the world. Meanwhile, Steven Smith will get back to play for Rajasthan Royals after serving a ban of one year.

Steven Smith believes the Indian Premier League is slightly better as there is a huge difference in the crowd.
Smith draws comparisons between BBL and IPL.
Steven Smith said as quoted by Rajasthan Royals website, “Both BBL and IPL are great leagues but I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here (India) because the crowd is so amazing and you get a chance to play with and against the best players in the world. It is great to be back around the team.
“I went to the (Sawai Mansingh) ground and everything looks in great shape. The boys are training hard and I can’t wait to take the field,” expressed the Australian.
Steven Smith will look to hit the ground running in the Indian Premier League. Smith hasn’t played competitive cricket in the last year and thus it would not be a cakewalk for him to get going. However, Steven Smith is a quality player and he would like to be at his best for the inaugural champions.
On the other hand, Smith will know that his performances in the Indian Premier League will play a key role for him to get back into Australia’s World Cup squad. Consequently, there would be pressure on the former Australian skipper.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals will begin their IPL campaign against Kings XI Punjab at their home ground of Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur on 25th March.
