Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has named five Indian players who, according to him, will make a big mark in the Indian Premier League in the coming years. IPL has always been a stage for youngsters to perform and make their way into the International setup.
The former BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly in interaction with Star Sports named five players who will make a big name for themselves in IPL in the upcoming years. Ganguly said that Surya Kumar Yadav is the best in the business, but he is experienced, and his first two picks would be Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant.
“The best in the business is Suryakumar Yadav. You don’t consider him a youngster anymore, but having said that, among the young players, Prithvi Shaw has a lot of talent in the T20 format, and I think Rishabh Pant. He is only 23 (25). He has got the world at his feet; Rishabh Pant is the No. 2,” Ganguly stated.
He went on to add Ruturaj Gaikwad–and Umran Malik. He asserted that they’re genuine talents to watch out for–and If Umran can stay fit then he can probably make a big contribution to the league.
“I would keep a look at Ruturaj Gaikwad, and how he keeps playing. I think these are the three batsmen. Umran Malik will probably if he stays fit, will continue to keep the fans interested in the game because of his genuine pace.”
