Rajasthan Royals Skipper Sanju Samson believes that these kinds of close matches make the Indian Premier League special and revealed that he was confident about Sandeep Sharma defending the total in the final over and admitted that the No ball cost side the game.

With 17 required in six balls, it felt like Sandeep Sharma would once again help Rajasthan Royals but he overstepped in the final ball as Samad held his nerves in the second chance and smashed a huge hit for a maximum in the straight to seal the victory for the 2016 champions.

“I was very confident with Sandeep. He has won us a game with almost a similar situation. He did it again today but that no-ball ruined our result,” Sanju Samson added.

The Indian wicket-keeper said that he was confident about the ability of Sandeep Sharma, as he had previously defended in the same kind of situation against Chennai Super Kings in Chepauk.
