WWE Universe is certainly curious over what could happen to Renee Young ever since her husband Dean Ambrose decided not to re-sign. Now the speculations have reached a different level since Ambrose decided to join WWE’s rival brand All Elite Wrestling as Jon Moxley. He has taken the pro-wrestling world by storm who may potentially become the top guy in AEW.
Furthermore, Jon Moxley appeared in an interview with Chris Jericho on Talk is Jericho podcast to spit out fire on WWE management. Basically, Vince McMahon was his target who might have created a toxic working environment in WWE. His lied propositions were key reasons behind Dean’s denial of staying. But Renee Young is still there and could suffer repercussions.
Going by the past history of the WWE, the management is infamous to punish superstars or their employees who are in the doghouse. Renee Young is certainly one of them who is going through a major backstage heat, right now. Her husband has apparently blindsided the company to go to the rival brand. Also, he lied to Vince McMahon before leaving.
As revealed by Brad Shepard on the Oh You Didn’t Know wrestling podcast, the officials are fuming over Dean Ambrose. He informed Vince McMahon that a movie commitment will not let him sign a new contract with the WWE. They had no clue that he was going to sign with AEW and go bad-mouth about them. So at present, they may be finding ways to punish Renee Young. Here’s more from the source,
“So I think it’s very interesting now because it puts Renee in a difficult situation. I am told they are looking at what to do with her as well, but they’re not happy about it. Vince is fuming over Dean Ambrose aka Jon Moxley telling them that he was just going to Hollywood to make a movie, but actually, he was leaving to make a movie and sign with AEW.”
Directly, WWE can do nothing to Renee Young as she is perhaps the most popular commentator cum host in the WWE who is also a celebrity face outside the company. Harming her would cause bad PR example for the company. But they can take away her spot in the commentary booth and send her back to interview sessions. Or they can humiliate her through storyline angle on TV. Vince McMahon is yet to take a final call on this matter.
