Star tennis player Saina Mirza says it is tough to have better 2015 and will work hard to at least match the achievements of this season in which she won two grand slams and also became the number one in individuals doubles rankings.
In 2016 she said: “if not better hopefully we can match what we have done. It is tough to have better year than this.” Saina said during 2015 she won two grand slams titles and 8 other titles with Martina Hignis in a dream run is special particularly because of the number of wins.
Both Saina Mirza and Martina Hignis have won the Wimbledon and the US Open doubles title and Martina Hignis have complemented each other which have been the main reasons for our success.
She said: “The fact me and Martina complement each other. We play together as team and get along on and off the court. We just try to better ourselves every time we step on the court she said. 2015 has been pretty special and competition would be tough as they began the next season she and Martina would try to change their game if they situation arises.
“Last few years have been amazing. We have been able to dominate on the court as a pair and would look like to continue the form in 2016.”
Sania Mirza and Martina Hignis had gone through some tough times especially during the Wimbledon finals being one set down and down in set 2 but they came back and won the title.
