Going by the latest reports, WWE has some interesting plans for returning Superstar on WWE Raw, Jinder Mahal. For the entire time in his career to the top of the sports entertainment, this man used to be a bonafide villain on TV who had Singh Brothers as sidekicks. But now the heel alliance may not exist together.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is interested to let Jinder Mahal have a run as a babyface, going forward. It would be a great experiment for the Indian origin superstar who never had the chance to play the role of a hero for the people of his country. Now there’s a chance that he could leave his villainous gimmick and resume career on a fresh note.

The process of transitioning the on-screen character of Jinder Mahal has already begun from this past episode of Monday Night Raw. He appeared on the show to deliver a positive, babyface promo, backstage. During the promo, Jinder Mahal praised Drew McIntyre’s success in WWE and mentioned how he is “positively elated” for his friend.

These kinds of comments were scarcely available from the Modern Day Maharaja. Jinder Mahal added he is on a new path now after making a lot of mistakes in the past and not wanting to repeat those errors. He also seemed confident that his journey back to the top will be a “Hero’s Journey” which was a solid confirmation that WWE wants him to use in a different way.

The primary belief is that WWE wants to have a top babyface from India and that Jinder Mahal will perfectly fit into the choice. Perhaps, they don’t have any alternative option, at all. It was also noted that the previous main event run of Jinder Mahal apparently didn’t make a big difference in India. It was due to his heel persona since the Indian fans mostly can’t differ between on and off-screen gimmicks.

So, the next time around, the push as a babyface could result in different things altogether. The former WWE Champion returned to television on the April 27 episode of Monday Night RAW. Sporting a new look, Jinder Mahal defeated former Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa in a dominant fashion by executing his finishing maneuver, Khallas.
