Hall Of Famer Ric Flair Signs New Contract With The WWE

Reports were out last December that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair may not be staying with the WWE as his contract with the company was expiring at the end of 2019. But following that, he made appearances on TV as well as mentioned that suggested that there have been some understanding between the two parties which may have allowed him to stay with the WWE.

WrestlingINC.com has now exclusively reported that Ric Flair has signed a new deal and is currently under contract with WWE. There’s no update on when exactly the deal was signed and as for how long but the legendary name will be getting used in WWE contexts in the future. It’s also not available whether WWE intends to use him on TV in significant roles in the near future.

The last time we have seen Ric Flair on WWE TV was at Flair Triple H’s 25th Anniversary Celebration on SmackDown, last month. Being the mentor of The Game, Flair sent Triple H a video message congratulating him on the special occasion. WWE may just continue to call him back on such occasions to raise the grandeur. After all, there’s only one Nature Boy.

At this point, Ric Flair has been busy with his RicFlairShop.com site and posted the video below promoting the “Nature Boy” face masks that are now available. In the video, the sixteen-time world champion is shown on a treadmill wearing one of the face coverings who was asked why he’s working out so hard.

“Why am I working out so hard?!” Flair asked himself and then replied, “Because I’m reaching out for that brass ring, to put me back on RAW, to put me back on SmackDown with all the Superstars! And by they way, available only at RicFlairShop.com! Wooooo!”

Although, there’s no update available on the WWE tenure of Ric Flair, the Insider belief is that the top officials in WWE have been signing talents to longer deals recently and for someone like Ric Flair, it’s very certain that they would have offered him a lengthy contract to keep him under their banner so that the rival brand does not throw a competition regarding him.
