The men’s Kabbadi team produced a dominating display by beating Thailand in a convincing 73-20 scoreline at Ahmedabad on Friday. It was a sheer display of dominance by the Indian team who showed their class on the night. The defense and raiders were too strong for the Thailand team.
In the first half of the match, India dominated right from the start as Anup Kumar got the first point. Ajay Thakur, Pradeep Narwal got points which put the Thailand defenders on the back-foot. In the 6th minute, India got Thailand all-out which gave the hosts a give 11-2 lead. The Indian defense also looked solid which made life tough for Thailand defense. No Thailand player was able to stop the Indian team. In the 13th minute, India again got Thailand all out to take a comfortable lead. In the 19th minute, Pardeep Narwal got a super raid to give India another all out and take a commanding 33-7 lead. At the end of first half, the men in blue led 36-8.
In the second half to India continued their domination over Thailand. In the 2nd minute, India got Thailand out for the fourth time which really showed the difference between teams. In the 4th minute Rahul Chaudhry, Mohit Chillar, and Nitin Tomar came as the substitute. Pardeep Narwal got a super 10 in the match and Thailand were all-out for the fifth time in the match to take a 51-8 lead. In the 8th minute, Pardeep Narwal got two touch points but India called for a review and finally umpire called 3 points. In the 11th minute, Nitin Tomar got a super raid and Thailand were all-out for the sixth time in the match. Thailand team got points at the end but it was not enough for Thailand to win the match. India won the match by 73-20 and entered the final. They will play Iran in the final tomorrow.
Ajay Thakur, Pradeep Narwal got super 10 which decimated the Thailand team. It was a complete domination by the Indian team right from the start. Thailand team lacked experience which was the main difference between the two teams.
