As per social media updates and the confirmations from AAA promotion, La Parka had breathed for the last time, yesterday night. The Mexican-origin competitor’s demise came at the age of only 56 after he couldn’t recover from an in-ring accident from last year.
It was an unfortunate incident from last year’s special show hosted by AAA where La Parka suffered a concussion.

As informed by wwfoldschool.com, La Parka competed in a match against RUSH, Murder Clown at Kaoz Lucha Libre’s 64 Anniversary Arena Coliseum event in Monterrey on October 20, 2019.
Parka went for a suicide dive through the ropes on RUSH, but his feet got caught on the ropes. Thus Parka fell head-first on the concrete floor that brought severe injuries to him.

Plus, La Parka was suffering from concussions at that point. The accidental bump resulted in Parka suffering a neck and cervical fracture. He wasn’t able to ‘talk and move his extremities’ for a few days after the happening.

The good things were that he was able to talk and regain feeling in his arms & legs after a few days. But the ill-effect was yet to be realized.
The announcement from AAA suggested that La Parka had renal failure after which his lungs & kidneys failed.
Following this, he passed away leaving behind many of his followers around the Lucha circuit. WWE stars and other indie names associated with Mexico offered their condolences for this superstar on social media. The bitter side of this demise shows how effective a concussion can be for a pro-wrestler.
AAA's La Parka passed away tonight. He was 56. He suffered serious injuries on a dive at the end of November and never recovered.

La Parka is not the only name who has been part of an unfortunate situation around the indie scene and was handed death as the ultimate penalty.
The protocols and medical facilities are not up to the mark at these kinds of shows where superstars put their bodies and career on the line regularly.
This is why WWE remains extra careful when it comes to dealing with injuries picked up by the wrestlers. When it comes to concussion the protocols get even higher as this could be life-threatening. This is why WWE forced superstars like Edge, Stone Cold or Paige to retire.
