Latest ATP rankings is out and Novak Djokovic retains his no.1 spot by a huge margin, followed by Roger Federer at no.2 and the Brit Andy Murray at no.3
The Spaniard Rafael Nadal has moved one spot further and is ranked no.9 in the world, after his straight set victory against the Italian Fabio Fognini. Nadal defeated Fognini 7-5, 7-5, and recorded his 47th victory on clay and registered his 67th career title.
Nadal after his victory said: “It was a very tough final, it is an important title for me.”It was a great match, many great points, many breaks, we fought hard.” 47 of Nadal’s 67 titles have been won on clay.
Marin Cilic, Kevin Anderson and John Isner are also climbers in this week’s Top 20.
