But now those plans have changed as Coronavirus pandemic continues to take over the sports and entertainment world. Fans would now have to wait one more year to get a glimpse of the upcoming F9 saga. It was noted on social media which appeared to be a big blow to the Hollywood box office.
The 9th installment of Fast & Furious named Fast Saga’s official Twitter account revealed that the movie won’t be released as scheduled. After the Coronavirus outbreak, it has become apparent where they needed to push things back. The expected May 2020 release date won’t have the movie in theatres. The exact new date of the release was not yet known.

Fast & Furious 9 is now expected to have a global release in April 2021. Around North America, the release date is predicted to be on April 2nd, 2021. Now that’s quite obviously a huge gap that could appear to be a big blow to the film’s production. But, the Coronavirus is causing huge problems in all aspects of the entire world. So precautionary measures are necessary.

It’s a big blow to John Cena, too who was out to don a completely new avatar leaving his good image. He was given the main villain’s character in the Fast & Furious 9 who is the brother to the central character played by Vin Diesel. This feud in the family appeared to be an interesting aspect of the film.
Fans could not see a heel-turn by John Cena on WWE TV for years. But they were enthusiastic to see him in this new role on the silver screen.
But it’s a shame that such efforts pulled off by the franchise player of the company will not be unveiled due to Coronavirus pandemic. Even WrestleMania 36 is said to be affected by this.
Although no official statement has been released by the company, speculations are running rampant that the biggest event of the year could be postponed.
As for this week, WWE has announced that SmackDown won’t take place at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit but rather it would be a closed-door show from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. As announced earlier, Fast & Furious star John Cena is slated to make his return on the show.
