Liverpool deny rumors of signing Denis Zakaria

Liverpool have denied rumors of them signing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria this month, Liverpool Echo reports. But new rumors have surfaced today as the transfer window will shut down after 7 days and the Reds are yet to conclude any business. Now according to the different latest reports, Liverpool have entered the race for Nantes forward Randal Kolo Muani and Paris Saint-Germain teenager Ismael Gharbi.

The 23-year-old French striker has scored 7 goals and assisted 2 more in 21 Ligue 1 appearances for Nantes this season. Kolo Muani was also selected for the French squad for the Tokyo Olympics where he made three appearances. His emergence this season has attracted many suitors for his signature and he is available for just £7 million due to just 6 months remaining in his contract at Beaujoire Stadium.

Nantes manager Antoine Kombouare is playing with two strikers upfront this season but is ready to offload their in-form striker this month instead of losing him on a free transfer in the summer. According to a report from Bild, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking for a backup striker option this month and has identified Kolo Muani for that role. But Premier League giants face competition from AC Milan and Marseille who have approached the player already this month.

Liverpool Eye Future Move For PSG Wonderkid Ismael Gharbi:

Liverpool are linked with a lot of central midfielders this month as they are preparing James Milner’s exit this summer. Captain Jordan Henderson will be at his age of 32 this summer and Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho also approaching their thirties. Liverpool are also reportedly looking to sell Naby Keita this summer who has struggled at Anfield since his arrival from RB Leipzig for a transfer fee of £54 million in 2018.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are strongly linked with Lille midfielder Renato Sanches recently but also looking at other options for the future. According to a report from Liverpool Echo, the Reds are determined to sign Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ismael Gharbi this summer. The report suggests that Liverpool have already put an offer for the versatile midfielder and waiting on Ligue 1 leaders’ response.

The 17-year-old Gharbi has already made three substitute appearances in French Cup this season, playing in midfield and winger roles. Liverpool rivals Chelsea are also strongly linked with Gharbi and keeping tabs on every development regarding his future. The player is looking to stay at Parc des Princes if they promise him the future first-team role. But PSG management are famous for signing big-name players instead of developing young prospects but will negotiate a big transfer fee for Ghabri who is tipped as the future of French midfield by many.
