Louis van Gaal will not be sacked this season 1

Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal had come under a lot of scrutiny for the team’s ‘boring’ performances. Fans were desperately urging the management to part the Club’s company with the Dutchman. But it looks quite unlikely for such a sacking to happen before the end of the season, reports Manchester Evening News.

Some of the Key figures in the Manchester united squad has voiced their belief that Louis Van Gaal will remain as the manager until the end of the season. It is further reported that the senior players in the squad believes the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will not sack Van Gaal before the end of the season. Manchester United’s last manager, David Moyes was sacked in 2014, with four games to go in the campaign. However, history will not replicate, confirms some United players.

Van Gaal was in great distress when the team lost to FC Midtjylland in the first leg of the Round-32 of Europa League. But things have taken a turn, thanks to morale boosting wins against Arsenal, which saw the supporters singing his name at the end of the game.

Earlier, it was rumoured that Van Gaal will leave Old Trafford and hot gossips were fired about his successor at the club, with Jose Mourinho pointed as a great probability. The fire was further oiled when the Portuguese said that he would prefer to join a new club next season.

“Starting next season with a new club is the best thing for me.” Jose Mourinho told last week. However legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson and club legend Bobby Charlton spoke of their disagreement in appointing Mourinho as the club’s manager.

Manchester United are currently fifth in the Premier League, three points adrift of a Champions League spot.
