Matthew Hayden,who is a former Australian opener has picked pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah, along with a couple of spinners, as the bowlers who could shine in IPL 2020.
Matthew Hayden made these observations during an interaction on the latest episode of the Star Sports show Cricket Connected. The former CSK opener was asked to pick up the top three bowlers who could have a massive impact in the upcoming IPL 2020.

He responded that the experienced fast bowlers including Bhuvneshwar Kumar as one of them, considering the Sunrisers Hyderabad swing bowler’s outstanding record in the IPL
“I feel the experienced seam bowlers will always be a threat. Bhuvneshwar Kumar obviously has been incredible in the IPL.” Matthew Hayden said.
It is to be mentioned that Bhuvneswar Kumar is the only pacer to win successive purple caps for taking the maximum number of wickets in IPL in 2016 and 2017.
Jasprit Bumrah was his other seamer who can set the IPL on fire as he is one of the most lethal bowlers in the international game currently according to Matthew Hayden.
“And from the Mumbai Indians point of view, who can go past one of the finest bowlers in world cricket, i.e. Jasprit Bumrah. I think he is as good as anyone on their day.”
Jasprit Bumrah plays for Mumbai Indians while Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowls for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

“I think you have got a handful of spinners as well who can look to dominate the play.”
The 48-year-old emphasized that even the experienced spinners who did not play cricket in the last couple of years could still spin their web around the batsmen and named his former nemesis Harbhajan Singh as one to watch out for in IPL 2020.
“Even the old boys can do the job. I am thinking of guys like Harbhajan Singh, who didn’t play a lot of cricket last year but still a wily off-spinner who can have a go.”
“Jadeja from CSK, some of the leggies as well who have got a big chance to get amongst the wickets this year,” Matthew Hayden .
Amit Mishra is the leading wicket-taker for India in IPL and is second behind Lasith Malinga while Harbhajan Singh and Piyush Chawla are fourth with 150 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja has 108 wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has 133 wickets and Jasprit Bumrah has 82 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar leads among Indian pacers and is followed by likes of Umesh Yadav, Ashish Nehra, Vinay Kumar and Zaheer Khan in the list of maximum wicket-takers.
