Making months of rumors true, WWE has decided to turn Seth Rollins heel on the last episode of Monday Night Raw. It seemed to be evident to rejuvenate his character which was becoming stale over time.
He joined the Authors of Pain to deliver a hellacious beatdown on Kevin Owens to lead him into the local medical facility.
WWE Had To Change Plans For Seth Rollins On Raw Due To Injury
Thus the heel-turn was solidified for Seth Rollins. Also, the rumors of an association with Rollins and AOP was also clarified with this move.
The supposed prime babyface on Monday Night RAW in the absence of Roman Reigns (who’s carrying SmackDown, at present) was converted into a heel character. The move seemed pretty strange but WWE did not have any alternate option to save Rollins’ on-screen character.
WWE Considering Two Big Opponents For Becky Lynch At Wrestlemania 36
First, being The Man’s Man followed by the storyline against The Fiend Bray Wyatt garnered negative reactions from the crowd. This forced WWE creative to turn Seth Rollins heel since early October to salvage his character.
As reported by Slice Wrestling, they realized that forming a heel team would be good for him. Giving him a taste back of The Shield days might be bringing back the villainous Architect mentality.
Thus the faction team alongside AOP was born on WWE Raw with Seth Rollins acting as the mentor or leader. The team will be going through big push as reported by the source,
“Seth Rollins & AOP will be a force to be reckoned with and this will be long term story that plays out. Seth Rollins will cheat his way to victories and the Authors of Pain will assist him by being lethal enforcers.”
“The Architects Of Pain” has been mentioned as a possible name for the group.”
This would also be very good news for the Authors of Pain who are craving for a good spot on the WWE roster. With a lack of communication skills, WWE may have had second thoughts to make them champions. But Seth Rollins acting as their leader, the doubts should exist no more.
