Rusev fans have every reason to be angry with the way how WWE continues to treat him. He is one of the most ‘over’ guys on the roster with the Lana-Bobby Lashley angle helping him to become a natural babyface. But just when the Rusev Day chants started to go bigger, he was taken off the programming. It left the fans speculating about his status which was not confirmed by WWE.
Update On WWE Stars Rusev And Lana Having Trouble In Their Marriage
Rusev and Bobby Lashley were originally scheduled to work in the 2020 Royal Rumble match which got canceled at the very last moment. They were banned from ringside during Lana vs. Liv Morgan singles contest, the very next night.
This week, Rusev was again absent from Monday Night Raw that aired from Salt Lake City, Utah. Could he be injured or fell victim to a suspension for WWE Wellness Policy Violation?
Rusev Reveals How He Feels About Lana Kissing Bobby Lashley
Thankfully, it looks like, it’s none of this and it’s just the creative team of the WWE who did not have enough options to use him. Dave Meltzer was asked during Wrestling Observer Radio where Rusev was this week on Raw. He remarked that he is neither dealing with an injury nor a suspension but the “creative didn’t have anything for him this week.”

New Challenger Set For Smackdown Women’s Champion, Bayley
Prior to his, fans did question on the social media about Rusev’s injury. The Bulgarian Brute did notice that and note on his status saying that he’s not injured. Since WWE has not released any more suspension news, either, it’s evident that WWE officials just did not want to use Rusev during this week’s Raw. Meanwhile, the consecutive absence faded up the Lashley vs. Rusev feud.

WWE Announces Huge Main Event Match For Monday Night Raw
Rusev’s WWE status does not seem brighter at this point given that he might be still negotiating a contract with the company. As stated by former WWE superstar Ryback during an episode of Ryback TV, the company put him in nasty angles just to make him sign new deals,
“He’s going to look horrendous in all of this and they got him. They put him in a sh*tty angle while contract negotiations are going on and if he re-signs, it will probably work itself out and he’s gonna look really good in it and then they’re going to use him for a bit, and then it’s going to go back to what they’ve done. Or he’s going to choose not to re-sign and they are gonna humiliate those two like no other. My opinion but I have seen it done before.”
