WWE has made the rematch between Randy Orton and Hall of Famer Edge official for the 2020 Backlash pay-per-view event. The last time around these two battled in a Last Man Standing Match which was not enough to settle the rivalry. Now they are set to battle in a one-on-one bout inside the squared circle. The match is being promoted with the tagline of the ‘Greatest Wrestling Match Ever.’

The story-telling between these two old school veterans has been incredibly good ever since the night after 2020 Royal Rumble. The Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36 was polarizing and some might say that it didn’t produce the expected product. It gave Edge the much-deserved win against his former friend cum bitter rival. But apparently, WWE is now focused to use the great in-ring chemistry between these two superstars.

Now, that the two men are set to collide in a straight-up wrestling match at Backlash, fans can expect somewhat more from them. Meanwhile, the betting odds for Edge vs Randy Orton at WWE Backlash have been released, via Sky Bet. In terms of the odds, Randy Orton is the close favorite to pick up the win with odds being 4/5. On the other hand, Edge is considered to be the underdog having 10/11 odds by his name.

Revealed: Potential Winner Of Randy Orton Vs Edge At WWE Backlash 3

WWE is billing this match as potentially the greatest wrestling match of all time under their banner. But going by the reality, both Edge and Randy Orton have crossed their prime time in their respective careers. So it’s highly doubtful whether they can actually feel live up to the promotion getting out of the stretch.

On a related note, a fan on Instagram pointed out that it’s illogical to start the feud with the Last Man Standing match and then end it with a ‘straight-up’ wrestling match. He also wished that Edge could have retired already. In response, the 11-time world champion fired back at him saying that he has bigger plans with future,

“You have no idea what I have planned. And because of that you have no idea what you’re talking about. Does EVERY story you’ve ever read or movie you’ve watched play out the same? Because that sounds boring as hell to me. So you can complain, or quit being that jaded ‘smart fan’ and just try and enjoy something and watch the power paradigm shift and play out.”
