The only matchup featuring so-called legends at WWE Crown Jewel took place between Team Hulk Hogan going up against Team Ric Flair. Both the legendary names did not involve in physical altercations during the contest. But their presence was enough to earn massive cheers from the crowd and thereby present a marquee match in the evening that went down in Saudi Arabia.
After Ric Flair made a grand entry to the stage, Bobby Lashley and Lana entered first as the participants. The team captain Randy Orton received a huge pop from the crowd. Hulk Hogan came out in the midst of huge pyro fireworks as the team members followed him, one by one.
Roman Reigns got a usual big reaction from the crowd as he punched into the ground to get the fireworks exploding around the stadium. The match went underway a few minutes later after the introduction by the announcer.
Once Rusev received the tag, he immediately wanted to face Bobby Lashley who did not want to make the tag. The Bulgarian Brute’s focus remained on the Almighty that allowed heels like Drew McIntyre and King Corbin to take advantage of the situation.
Randy Orton received the tag and punished Ricochet who received the tag from Rusev. The high-flying star finally hit a knee on Orton before making the hot tag to Roman Reigns who entered the match to unleash on the heels.
The Big Dog delivered a Superman Punch and a huge dive to the floor to take everyone down on the opponent team. Roman Reigns entered back the ring to run into a kick followed by an RKO from Randy Orton. But he kicked out of the signature move to shock everyone.
Ali ran into the ring trying to interfere but received an RKO, instead. He waited for Reigns to get up but outsider chaos broke out distracting him. Roman then nailed Orton with a huge spear to pick up the pinfall win. Team Hogan stood tall after the match to celebrate this monumental victory.

Hogan turned to The Big Dog to lead his pack and named Roman Reigns the new captain on SmackDown. In addition, Hogan filled out his roster with Rusev, Ricochet, Shorty G and Ali. Meanwhile, Flair has chosen his former Evolution stablemate Randy Orton as his captain and added King Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
