WWE continued to tape weekly programs along with WrestleMania amid the Coronavirus outbreak all around the world. As the effect has been felt in all aspects of humanity, it was just a matter of time that they would have to deal with one of their talents getting affected by the deadly disease.
Roman Reigns & Drew McIntyre In Verbal War Over Wrestlemania Main Event?
It appears none other than Roman Reigns is the concerned person who the company will have to let go of the event.
Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that the franchise player of the WWE will not be competing in his scheduled match against the WWE Universal Champion Goldberg. Roman Reigns didn’t feel comfortable competing at the Performance Center in Florida where more than 50 Coronavirus cases have been reported within a week.

It was noted that his battle with leukemia keeps him in an ‘immunocompromised’ state which is why he didn’t want to risk his health.
It was already reported earlier that doctors were keeping a close eye on Roman Reigns ever since the Coronavirus pandemic stared. Leukemia may have gone back to remission but the post-effect is long-lasting and it won’t be leaving him that easily.
So for the first time in his career, The Bog Dog will have to miss the biggest event of the year where he was set to compete in fantasy warfare against Goldberg.
In changed circumstances, WWE is working to present a replacement opponent for Goldberg for his scheduled WrestleMania 36 title defense. Perhaps, this altered match has already been taped at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida as WrestleMania 36 won’t take place in a live format.
The airing will be taking place over WWE Network on April 4th and 5th but all of those matches will be pre-taped.
Roman Reigns had a second-time battle with leukemia in late 2018 forcing him to go into a hiatus. He came back in February of 2019 announcing he was in remission and thanking people how he was overwhelmed by the support he received from everyone since he made the announcement.
After one year of hiatus, Roman Reigns was supposed to be in his fifth WrestleMania main event match against Goldberg. But perhaps that won’t happen as we now wait for an official announcement from WWE’s part.
