Saina Nehwal loses to Li Xuerui in straight sets 12-21,15-21 in the finals of China Masters Super Series played at China just few moments ago. It was a disappointing performance by Saina who was outplayed by Li Xuerui.
In the first game Saina Nehwal began off to a positive start taking 4-1 lead. Li Xuerui came back strongly and equaled the score at 4-4. LI Xuerui continued to dominate and took a 7-4 lead.
At the interval Li lead 11-6. After the interval Li Xuerui dominated the game and never allowed Saina to come back into the match. Li Xuerui played some excellent drop shots and smashes. LI Xuerui won the first set 21-12.
In the second game Saina Nehwal started off to a aggressive start taking a 5-0 lead. LI Xuerui came back strongly and reduced the gap to 4-5. Saina was aggressive with her badminton and dominated the game. At the interval Saina led 11-6. After the interval Li Xuerui played some excellent badminton and made Saina Nehwal work hard.
From 7-12 down LI Xuerui took 5 successive points to equal the score at 12-12 and both players took alternate points to equal at 15-15. Li Xuerui took 6 successive points and won the second set 21-15.
Saina Nehwal form in this tournament was brilliant and hope that she would continue her form in the upcoming tournaments.
