Curran hasn’t played any game since IPL 2022 as he was ruled out of the Ashes due to a back injury. England is currently playing a 5-match T20I series in West Indies.

The Mega auction will be held in Bengaluru as 1214 players have registered for it. The list consists of 270 capped, 903 uncapped, and 41 Associate players.

According to a press release by IPL, the detailed list is- Capped Indian (61 players), Capped International (209 players), Associate (41 players), Uncapped Indians who were a part of previous IPL seasons (143 players), Uncapped International who were a part of previous IPL seasons (6 players), Uncapped Indians (692 players), and Uncapped Internationals (62 players).

Another all-rounder whose absence in the auction list made big news, was Ben Stokes, who will also skip IPL 2022 to stay fresh for the summer as England has a packed schedule in the upcoming summer. After a poor show in the Ashes, England players were heavily criticized by former England players to participate in the cash-rich league. However, England white-ball captain Eoin Morgan is quite supportive of England players participating in the league.

Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali have already been retained by their respective franchise.
