Manchester United endured a tough campaign in the Premier League as Jose Mourinho’s men could only muster a sixth place finish in the points table, come the end of the season, that after spending €150m on transfers in the previous summer transfer window.
Jose Mourinho is not too worried about spending big this summer either as he has already completed the signings of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku this summer and though he is looking to add players at other positions in the squad, he has surely improved on his backline and his attack with a couple of excellent signings.
The Red Devils were desperate for an attacker after they allowed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney to quit the club after the end of the previous season.
They have completed the signing of Lukaku, which will solve the problem but one player constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford is Spanish international Alvaro Morata.
Fees not agreed
The former Juventus star was in impeccable form in Italy before he was brought back by his parent club a year ago.

Morata, however, has not been able to establish himself in the first team under Zinedine Zidane and is unsettled at the Bernabeu at the moment.
He failed to start more than 15 matches in any of the seasons he was at the Spanish capital and it was understood that he was one of the many players who could leave Real Madrid this summer.
Manchester United were desperate for his signature as Mourinho was looking for a reunion, but United and Real could not come to an agreement on the price of the player.
The Spanish giants were adamant to sell at nothing less than €80m, and United grew frustrated and decided to spend on Lukaku for the next season.
Morata is now linked with a move to Chelsea but may also stay back at the Bernabeu by the looks of it.

Morata Dyes Hair Red
And a ridiculous news today claims that Morata dyed his hair red ahead of a proposed move to Manchester United and had to get his hair cut, after the move fell through.
According to reports from Spanish news outfit Marca, Morata was sporting a buzz cut, but still remnants of red hair dye.
It could all be a coincidence but having come so close to moving to Manchester, let’s hope that he has a decent season wherever he is playing in the upcoming campaign.
