Cody Rhodes had been one of the biggest faces of WWE since his return to the promotion last year at WrestleMania 38. Apart from his amazing wrestling skill, his mic skill has also received massive praise from fans and critics. Cody cuts promos almost every week on RAW and they are really fire.
But wrestling legend Vince Russo had some different opinion about these promos of Cody Rhodes that could be heard almost every week on Monday Night RAW. Russo said that not only his promos are boring but could not stand his promos either. He said that he has to match the level of Randy Savage or Captain Lou Albano in order to be the face of WWE. Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s “Legion of RAW” podcast, he said;

“I cannot stand Cody’s promos, I am so bored. Bro please, give me a Roddy Piper, give me a Randy Savage, give me a Lou Albano. Give me somebody, I want emotion man, I want over the top. I can’t stand the Trish Stratus and the Cody Rhodes promos.” Said Vince Russo.
Cody Rhodes is not the only wrestler that Vince Russo criticized for “boring” promos. Russo criticized WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus for her promos too who started working in WWE on a regular basis recently; “She’s repeated this same promo 4 times. It’s the thank you Trish, ok we get it man, move on.”

Vince Russo is not a big fan of the return of the legends like Trish Stratus or Lita. Previously he spoke to Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW where he shared massive criticism for Lita and Trish Stratus for returning to in ring action even after “they’re way beyond their prime.”
“So last week, the babies won the title. This week the babies clear the heels out of the ring. So babies over two weeks in a row with three weeks left to go. Here’s the problem: you’re looking at the six women in the ring. You’ve got Lita and Trish that are way beyond their prime. They’re mothers, they’re way beyond their prime.”
Vince Russo might have been a big legend in the world of professional wrestling but most of the fans could not agree with his opinions in most cases. He might not have been a big fan of Cody Rhodes’ promos, but most of the fans love it. But we still believe Cody could improve more since there is no limit of improvement.
