England tightens a screw against Black Caps in the second Test:

A century-plus stand between James Vince and Mark Stoneman helped England take the driver’s seat at the end of third day’s play of the second Test against New Zealand at Hagley Oval. Prior to that, the hosts were bundled up for 278 in the morning session, giving England a handy lead of 29 runs.
The Three Lions started their second innings on a shaky note as Alastair Cook returned to the pavilion on 14.
However, Stoneman (60) and Vince (76) steadied the ship, with a 123-run stand. Both the players were dismissed in the final session before bad light ended play with England on 202-3.
England’s overall lead is now extended to 231.
Hasin Jahan approaches Delhi Daredevils:

Hasin Jahan, an estranged wife of India pacer Mohammed Shami, has sought Delhi Daredevils help, requesting them to bar her husband from playing in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Jahan had previously accused Shami of having extra-marital affairs and domestic violence. She had also claimed that the pacer was involved in match-fixing. As a result, the Board of Control for Cricket in India had withheld Shami’s contract.
However, the board later cleared Shami and handed him his contract.
Jahan has now knocked the Daredevils’ door. She met the Delhi franchise’s CEO, Hemant Dua, recently in an attempt to roadblock Shami’s career.
Manchester City one victory away from Premier League title after a comfortable victory against Everton:

High-flying league leaders Manchester City thrashed Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park – to move one step closer to sealing the title. Pep Guardiola’s men can win the crown with a win over bitter rivals Manchester United (MU).
The visitors secured all the three points courtesy of goals from Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus, and Raheem Sterling before Yannick Bolasie pulled a consolation goal back for the hosts.
In other games, Manchester United beat Swansea City 2-0 courtesy of goals from Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku respectively. On the other hand, Liverpool came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1.
Sloane Stephens wins Miami Open:
American Sloane Stephens extended her winning streak in finals as she beat Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko 7-6(5) 6-1 to claim the Miami Open title on Saturday.
After a pulsating first set, the reigning US Open champion reeled off six consecutive games in the second to beat the French Open winner and win her first Miami title.
