In the third match of the ongoing Tri-nation Twenty20 International series, England women convincingly thrashed India women in Mumbai by seven wickets.

Heather Knight-led England comfortably chased down the target of 199 in 18.4 overs.

The visitors rode on the remarkable century of opening batter Danielle Wyatt.

Rollicking with the willow, the 26-year-old Wyatt struck 64-ball 124. Her innings was laced with 15 boundaries and five sixes. On the other side, Tammy Beaumont struck 23-ball 35.

However, all-rounder Natalie Sciver remained not out on 12 off nine balls alongside Heather (8* off 5).

But Deepti Sharma picked two wickets as Jhulan Goswami managed to pick the solitary wicket of opening batter Bryony Smith (15 off 11).

Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur-led India batter first. The hosts went on to post 198 for four in 20 allotted overs.

Opening batters Mithali Raj and youngster Smriti Mandhana got India off to a flier.

The left and right-hand combination stitched 129-run stand for the first wicket in 12.5 overs.

Similarly, the left-handed batswoman Mandhanna struck 40-ball 70. Her innings was comprised of 12 boundaries and two sixes. Whereas, Mithali faced 43 deliveries for her 53. She smashed seven boundaries.

So much so, captain Kaur faced 22-balls for 30, as Pooja Vastrakar remained unbeaten on 10-ball 22.

For England, Tash Farrant claimed two wickets and Sciver alongside Sophie Ecclestone bagged wicket apiece.

Steven Smith, David Warner stepped down from their respective posts –

After the clear admission regarding the ball-tampering incident, Australian skipper Steven Smith has stood down. Moreover, Vice-captain David Warner also stepped down from his premium post.

Subsequently, On day three, opening batsman Cameron Bancroft was caught on camera while using the yellow tape.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull and Cricket Australia (CA) CEO James Sutherland have expressed the disappointment over the sad incident.

England fights for a draw in pink-ball Test in Auckland –

Following just 17 balls were made possible on day three of the first Test, New Zealand started off the innings on 234 for four.

Simultaneously, owing to the overnight score of Henry Nicholls 53 and wicketkeeper-batsman BJ Watling’s 18.

Nicholls went on to smash unbeaten 145 off 268 balls. Moreover, he smashed 18 boundaries in his watchful knock. Watling was able to add just 13 to his overnight score.

The Black Caps went on to declare their first innings on 427 for eight in 127 overs.

However, at the stumps on day four England team is trailing by 237 runs.

In addition, the Three Lions post 132 for three on board in 46.5 overs when the stumps were withdrawn.
