In one of the FA Cup fixture, Southampton beat Wigan Athletic by two goals to nil. During the quarter-finals, Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg opened the account in the 62nd minute.
Moreover, Cedric Soares extended the lead in the extra time (91st minute) before referee blow the final whistle.
Southampton had six shots on the target whereas, Athletic had two. However, Athletic had shared the 52 percent of possession, as Southampton enjoyed 48 percent.
Chelsea thump Leicester City by 2-1 –
At the King Power Football Stadium in Leicester, the hosts were trounced by 2-1.
In the dying minutes of the first-half, Chelsea opened the tally with Alvaro Morata’s goal in 42nd minute. However, City returned strongly in the 76th minute when Jamie Vardy scored an equalizer.

In the Women’s title, the promising star Noami Osaka clinched the title in straight sets while defeating Russian Daria Kasatkina by 6-3, 6-2.
