Over some dramatic turn of events on last night’s episode of WWE Raw, one of the names from the red brand won’t be able to compete at the 2020 Money in the Bank ladder match.
WWE has now announced that Apollo Crews has been pulled from the ladder match set for the first week of May due to a knee injury. He suffered the same during his match against WWE United States Champion Andrade.

The injury came after Andrade targeted the already ruptured knee throughout the United States Championship match on WWE Raw. Apollo Crews blocked the Hammerlock DDT move from the champion and went for a top rope move.

Andrade moved out of the way as Crews landed badly on the mat after missing that Frogsplash. The referee checked on him and declared him incompetent handing the win to Andrade who retained the US title.

Following WWE Raw, a statement was released on WWE’s official website, confirming that Apollo Crews won’t be able to compete at 2020 Money in the Bank,
“Apollo Crews suffered a knee injury that left him unable to continue in his United States Championship Match with Andrade on Raw. Due to that injury, Crews will no longer be able to compete in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Sunday, May 10. Stick with WWE’s Digital and Social platforms for further updates as they become available.”
It should be noted that Apollo Crews is not injured, legit on WWE Raw. It is just a storyline angle created during the US title match to remove Crews from the scheduled Money in the Bank ladder match. We expect more announcements from WWE on how they plan to fill up the vacant spot.
Five men’s division superstars have already been inserted into Money in the Bank ladder match. The sixth and final participant will be decided through Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler matchup on this week’s Smackdown.
