Regina Halmich:
Halmich was born on 22 November 1976 and is one of the most successful female boxers of all time. She played a massive role in popularising the game in Europe. In 2016, she was named the second best female boxer of all time by The Ring Magazine and her record pretty much back it.
She made her professional debut in Karlsruhe, Germany back in 1994 against Fienee Klee and won it.
Prior to that, she became the German champion in kickboxing in 1992, 1993, as an amateur. Her career graph took only the upward direction from thereon, as she went on to become WIBF junior flyweight, flyweight, and super flyweight world champion.
Halmich fought her last fight in 2007 when she beat Israel’s, Hagar Finer.
