Rousey was born in Riverside, California on February 1, 1987. She is the youngest of three daughters of AnnMaria De Mars and Ron Rousey.

Named after her father, she is perhaps the poster-girl of women’s boxing in recent times. She is not only a talented boxing champion but holds many records in sports like Judo, and other martial arts.

She is an American professional wrestler, actress, author, mixed martial artist, and judoka. Not to forget, Ronda also plies her trade in World Wrestling Entertainment, popularly called WWE.

She was the first American woman to earn an Olympic medal in judo (bronze) when she bagged it at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Rousey is a former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, as well as the last ever Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion.

She won 12 consecutive MMA fights, including six in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), before suffering her first loss, to Holly Holm in November 2015. She won 11 of those fights in the first round, nine of them by armbar submission.
