Lucia Rijker:
Rijker started her martial arts career at the early age of six when she began training in judo. In the following year, she made it to the Dutch National Softball Team. At the age of fourteen, she became the Netherlands Junior Champion in fencing before tasting success in boxing.
One of the most feared women boxers of all time, Rijker earned the nickname “The Most Dangerous Woman in the World.”
Even before entering the world of boxing, she was already a kickboxing champion. Rijker enjoyed a highly successful career in kickboxing too, holding an impressive record of 36 wins and no losses. 25 of those wins were knockouts.
Her boxing career was equally impressive, as she was undefeated as a boxer, boasting a record of 17 wins and zero defeats; including 14 victories knockout.
She won her first 14 boxing matches but went on hiatus after failing to book a fight with the iconic Christy Martin. She came back to the scene in 2002 and won three more bouts. In 2006, she took a break from boxing once more.
She also made it to the cover of numerous magazines including Inside Kung Fu. As a professional boxer, she has won the WIBF Welterweight Title and defeated fighters like Marcela Acuña and Deborah “Sunshine” Fettkether.
