3. Badminton
Badminton is a sport where India has made giant strides. In the last Olympics, 5 shuttlers represented India in London. This time, a total of 7 shuttlers will be taking part. In women’s section Saina Nehwal will be the best bet. She won a bronze medal in London. Apart from PV Sindhu will be participating in her first Olympics. Also participating in their first Olympics are Srikanth and doubles pair of Manu Attri and Summeth Reddy. In women’s doubles Ashwini Ponnappa and Jwala Gutta will take part. The doubles pairing for India will be tough both men and women’s are placed in a tough group. The form of the three singles players will depend on their style of play.
