Of late, Juventus have completed the signing of central midfielder Emre Can. The Germany International opted against an extended stay at English club Liverpool. On the other side in English Premier League (EPL), Manchester United (MU) have completed the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred. He was bought for whopping £52.5 million.
Fred has become fourth most expensive arrival ever at Old Trafford after five years at Shakhtar Donetsk.
Can’s four-year agreement with the Seria A Champions will pay him €5 million (£4m/$6m) per season.
Moreover, the 24-year-old had long been linked with a move to Juventus as he ran down his terms at Anfield. While other clubs were reported to have shown an interest, the Italian giants were always leading the chase.
Juventus have now got their man. The medical having been completed on Thursday before the penning of a long-term deal. He would primarily play in central and holding midfield roles, though he did play some games at centre-back for the Reds.
Can go on to score 14 goals during his Liverpool career. However, a back injury sustained on March 17 against Watford all but ended Can’s 2017-18 campaign.

On the other hand, Fred has signed a five-year deal. It includes a club option for an extension of 12 months upon its expiry.
The 25-year-old was eventually a target of Manchester City (MC) until the Premier League champions withdrew their interest in January.
After joining the Reds, the midfielder was quoted as saying by Washpost, “This is the biggest club in the world and I am delighted to be a part of this amazing team. To work with Jose Mourinho, who has won so many trophies in his time as a coach, is an opportunity not to be missed.”
“I cannot wait to get started and to meet my new team-mates. I would like to thank everyone at Shakhtar Donetsk. (And) for (doing) everything they over the past five years. This is a very exciting time for me with my focus now fully on the World Cup with Brazil,” he added.
