The final edition of WWE SmackDown for 2019 as well as this decade has just been heated up with a major announcement.

After what transpired on last night’s show, three competitors from the main event match will get a huge opportunity over the prime title present on the blue brand. The winner will also cement his spot for the inaugural PPV of the year that is WWE Royal Rumble 2020 edition.

The Fiend Attacks Superstars After WWE Smackdown Went Off The Air

On the December 27 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, a Triple Threat Match will be there to determine the Royal Rumble opponent for WWE Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. Daniel Bryan, The Miz, and King Corbin will compete in a match that will declare the number one contender’s spot for the Universal Title at Royal Rumble 2020.

The match will go down from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan which will also be the final live TV taping for WWE in 2019.

CM Punk Is Current Second Favorite To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2020

As seen on this week’s SmackDown, King Corbin declared himself to be the self-proclaimed challenger for the Universal title. But WWE officials handed opportunity to Daniel Bryan and The Miz, as well as they, earned the opportunity, as well, (courtesy WWE.com)

“All three Superstars have a unique reason to challenge the monstrous titleholder. For Bryan, a potential showdown would be about retribution after he was dragged to the depths of hell by “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt several weeks ago.

WWE To Continue Bobby Lashley-Lana Storyline Until Wrestlemania 36?

For Miz, losing at WWE TLC left The A-Lister with an unresolved thirst to get even after his family was targeted by Wyatt. For King Corbin, it’s a simple case of what he feels he deserves after he defeated Roman Reigns in a TLC Match at the final pay-per-view of 2019.”

As reported earlier, Daniel Bryan is the supposed challenger for The Fiend at Royal Rumble 2020 since he is already in a feud with him. Sources have indicated that Bryan will have a ‘blow-off’ match with the demonic persona.

This is the reason why Bryan vs. Fiend was halted for WWE TLC pay-per-view so that the marquee match can be reserved for Royal Rumble. So the leader of the YES nation is a clear favorite to win the match on SmackDown, next week.
