WWE News: The Undertaker Revealed He Was A Party Animal In WCW
The Undertaker started his career not in the WWE but in the WCW promotion owned by Eric Bischoff. He was told that he would never be a money attraction in the pro-wrestling industry.
Eventually, he’d go on to leave the company and arrived at the Vince McMahon owned WWE that gave birth perhaps to the most iconic character that we have ever seen.
The Undertaker gimmick later went on to become a cult one which created waves all around the sports entertainment industry.
Before the classic persona was born in WWE, the lifestyle of the man behind this character was pretty different. The WCW superstars used to party as much as possible which ensured a bohemian kind of life.
While speaking to the Broken Skull Sessions hosted by Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker would go on to reveal the night owl he’d become during his time in WCW.
It was hard to escape drugs and alcohols and he might have become addicted to these. This is very much different from the kind of person that he is in real life, these days,
“Once I got to WCW, I mean everything [drugs] was so rampant. Things that you see… you try to tell people outside our industry, some of the excesses and they look at you like, ‘You’re full of crap. Nobody does that — rock stars do that. Well, I’ve been in some situations where I put some rock stars to bed, you know.”
Cut to almost thirty years later, The Undertaker lives a different life, altogether just like the pro-wrestling industry itself which itself went through a lot of changes.
He married Michelle McCool in 2010 to go on to become a responsible father and husband. The former Divas Champion often posts activities from their private life hinting that The Undertaker never fails to amaze her.
