In an unfortunate incident, Ashok Khale, one of the most celebrated cyclists of India, lost his life after succumbing to injuries following a hit-and-run accident.
According to The Times of India, the veteran cyclist from Maharashtra was found injured in Mankhurd after being hit by a vehicle. The 65-year old was on a cycle ride from his residence in Dadar to Khopoli on November 5 when he met with an accident on the Sion-Panvel highway and succumbed to his injuries late on Saturday (November 11). Khale was survived by his wife and two sons.
