West Indies captain Kieron Pollard has expressed his disappointment over the 8-run loss in the second T20I in the 3-match series. However, Pollard is quite satisfied with the performances of Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell, who put on a century stand to take the team closer to winning.
Chasing the target of 187, West Indies openers had a hit-and-miss type start as they never got going. But Pooran and Powell turned things around for West Indies with some big overs in the middle phase. Both added 100 runs in 10 overs and took the team very close to the target. Pollard lauded both of them however he is disappointed with the loss.

“He (Powell) was phenomenal today. His partnership with Pooran almost got us over the line. We did well to take it as deep as we can. We can look at different ways as to how we could have gotten those 8 runs. At the end of it, we can look at so many ways,” said Pollard after the game.
Pollard also showered praises for Roston Chase who bowled brilliantly in both the games. In the first game, he bowled an economical spell of 2/17 in 4 overs. On Friday he did even better with figures of 3/25 with three key wickets of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav. Pollard is also quite satisfied with the way the visitors showed improvement from the first match.
